BEULAH, MICHIGAN – St. Ambrose Cellars in Beulah is at the forefront of one of the hottest trends in beverages today: high quality, honey-based meads and wines. To see what the buzz is about, all are invited to stop by St. Ambrose’s Grand Opening Celebration, set for 6 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, Sept. 13, at 841 S. Pioneer Road (Highway 677), in Beulah.The event will feature draft meads, wine and BBQ by Walt’s Smokehouse, along with live music by Soul Patch, Alfredo, and K Jones and the Benzie Playboys. There’s no entry fee, but no outside alcohol is permitted into the winery and, after 8 p.m. all guests must be 21.
“Don’t drink and drive – call a friend,” said St. Ambrose staff.
“We’re really unique,” said beekeeper and St. Ambrose Cellars’ owner Kirk Jones. “I can’t think of any other winery in the state or anywhere else that’s similar to us, raising the honey from our own bees and sourcing locally-grown fruit to make our meads and wines.
