Bellevue’s Moonstruck ends production of mead, plans to rebrand

Moonstruck Meadery will stop producing mead this month as its owners look to grow and rebrand the business.
Brian Schlueter, president of Moonstruck, said the business will now sell mead produced by a company in North Dakota. The change, Schlueter said, means Moonstruck can operate under a less-restrictive liquor license, possibly expanding to multiple locations in the future.
“We’re starting to build the legend,” Schlueter said.
The renamed Moonstruck Pizza & Beer will serve mead, tap beer and wine. Moonstruck made its last batch of signature mead this week, Schlueter said.
