BELLAIRE,Mi. (WPBN/WGTU)Bee Well Mead and Cider opened up the doors of its new tasting room on Saturday.

7&4’s Toi Creel was live Tuesday morning to talk with the VanSices’ and family friend Tony Colombo about the Meadery, new brews and more.

Mead is the oldest alcoholic beverage and uses honey in the fermentation process.

In the tasting room, customers can taste individual meads and cider with pours or pints, purchase howlers, t-shirts, and even raw honey.

Started by Jeremy and Chris Van Sice in 2002, the Bellaire based Meadery has since grown to include seven meads and eight ciders with flavors such as the Antrim Apple Pie and Ginger Peach.
